Radiant Montessori is more than just a childcare
“The child who concentrates is immensely happy.” - Absorbent Mind.
Children under 6 years have extraordinary powers of the mind. What they learn and experience during this period can influence their personality and future tremendously.
To be calm and happy, children under 6 years need to explore and discover. They see the world through curious eyes. That’s what motivates them. Children respond to order because of their innate need to know where things belong and how pieces fit together. That is what Maria Montessori described as “the absorbent mind.”
Montessori early childhood education enhances young children’s knowledge in the present; it also establishes a solid educational foundation for later life. We do all this in a fun way!
At Radiant, we create an environment for children to learn independently, on their own initiative. This approach to early childhood education builds concentration and self-motivation at a young age. More importantly, the Montessori Method instills in children, a lifelong love of learning.
We absolutely love what we do!
Here is the big picture of Montessori
Our curriculum is based on the Montessori Method. Let’s explain it in one sentence: Montessori method encourages the child to explore and learn at his or her own pace. Children are inherently curious. Montessori lessons inspire children to be bold explorers today, and to be joyful and confident learners for life. At Radiant Montessori, children learn - at their individual pace - sensorial activities, practical life, math, language arts, cultural studies and geography. We add music, karate, yoga and other activities to the curriculum as resources and time permit.
Curriculum
Elements
Practical Life
Practical Life activities focus on everyday life. For example, care of self, control of movement, care of the environment, and grace and courtesy.
Sensorial
The Sensorial activities focus on smaller details - color, weight, shape, size, texture, sound or smell of objects. These activities sharpen the child's concentration.
Art
Kids love designing and creating puppets and collages, constructing musical instruments and flower bouquets, and painting, gluing, and crafting to their hearts’ content!
Field Trips
Excursions form a vital part of a child’s early education. They expose a child to a range of different experiences and enable them to gain a sense of the world in which they find themselves.
Culture and Geography
Montessori children learn about different countries, cultures, plants, and animals,
Math
Children learn how to count the correct number of objects to make a certain number. Don't be surprised if your child learns the decimal system, concrete abstraction and arithmetic tables!
Language
Montessori Language activities improve a child's vocabulary, listening skills for common sounds, and differentiating between objects and pictures. It is not unusual to see Montessori children starting to read very early.
We are dedicated to the care and education of your child.
How are we different from a traditional childcare?
Our exclusive curricula, enriched with Montessori lessons and presented with specially designed Montessori materials enable teachers to create personalized learning experiences, appropriate to every age group.
Your child will receive Montessori lessons in the areas of sensorial (training of the senses), language arts, mathematics, cultural studies/geography. Montessori method makes all this possible with a lot of fun for the child. Montessori’s unique methodology makes it possible for the child to learn at his or her own pace with more independence than you would ordinarily expect from a child at this age.
